Team Gwen! - My Autism Walk for a Difference Fundraising Page

Noël Simonson
Welcome to our Team Gwen POAC fundraising page!

When our daughter Gwen was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at age 4 it changed our lives forever. Getting that diagnosis at first seemed so scary and we had no idea what to expect. Through this journey with Gwen we've learned that creating a circle of love and acceptance for her is all she needs.

Gwen is living a beautiful life and giving us more joy than we could have imagined. She is the happiest kid I know! Her happiness is thanks to all the special people that create a circle of love and acceptance that helps her thrive.

Gwen's circle are those special family members, friends, amazing teachers and paraprofessionals and the organization Parents of Autistic Children (POAC).

POAC is an local NJ nonprofit that helps families affected by autism everyday. They are the largest provider of free trainings for parents, first responders and educators in the state. They host fun, inclusive events for families all year long. POAC always invites siblings. Cassie and Gwen always have a blast at a POAC party! Especially the gymnastics, Spring egg hunt and surfing events all funded by donations.

On June 3, 2023 we are walking at Sayreville Highschool to support POAC and all the they do for our children and the community. If you know or love someone diagnosed with autism please considering donating to this wonderful organization that directly helps familes in NJ.

Thank you!
